Cyber Resilience for Maritime OT: Securing Vessels, Fleets and Critical Port Systems

It is tempting to think of vessels at sea as essentially isolated from the normal range of cyber security threats, but this is far from the case. Vessels contain a range of vulnerable Operational Technology, from electronic charting to engine management systems, and increased connectivity has introduced new attack pathways. Additionally, vessels may be even more highly connected when alongside and port systems themselves are good targets for attack.

We have extensive experience in maritime cyber security with direct experience in the assessment of OT vulnerabilities in maritime platforms. Our Technical Director was a co-author of the BIMCO guidance on maritime cyber security and we have delivered cyber security services to bulk carriers, container vessels and cruise ships, conducting vulnerability surveys, and planning the segregation of OT from IT.
